With over 40 years of restaurant expertise between us, we have served, delighted and treated Dubliners to the finest Nepalese cuisine since the early 1980s. We, the chefs and part-owners of Lumanti, come from the small villages of Nepal's capital city Kathmandu (Sunakothi and Thankot).
Our style of cooking is based on authentic recipes that were handed down from generation to generation and the utmost care has been taken to ensure that these dishes taste just as they did when our great-grandmothers served them.

Our Team
Partner and owners of Lumanti of Nepal, Krishan Kumar (KK) Dangol and Gangaram Shrestha have been a part of the Irish restaurant industry for over 20 years. Originally from Nepal, the restaurant duo have dedicated their lives to bringing a taste of Kathmandu to Ireland and showing the real meaning of spice. KK was the first Nepalese person in Ireland and was shortly followed by Gangaram. Both KK and Gangaram are the most experienced Nepalese cuisine chefs in Ireland. With their unique cooking styles combined, they bring out the best in Nepalese food matched to none. The duo are now excited and proud to announce their new family ventures in Lumanti of Nepal.

The newest member of the kitchen, Ram Kaji Maharjan, younger brother to KK, brings the latest trends and new ideas to emerge from the Kathmandu Valley to Dublin.
