​What are Momos?
Momo are a traditional delicacy in Nepal. At Lumanti, our Momo's are steam-cooked Nepalese dumplings, filled with chicken that has been carefully hand-blended with spices. It is then served with Lumanti special Momo chutney.

History
The Irish calander like many other countries follow the Georgian calender. It is based on the solar calender. This includes 365 days in the year and also some leap years.

In Nepal the calender is called Bikram Samwat. It is a lunar calendar based on ancient Hindu traditionThe Vikrama Samvat is said to have been founded by the emperor Vikramaditya of Ujjain following his victory over the Sakas in 56 BCE. The Vikram Samvat calendar is 56.7 years ahead (in count) of the solar Gregorian calendar. The new year begins with the first day after the new moon, in the month of Chaitra.
